Julia founded The Digital Voice in 2012 and has built up a well loved adtech specialist PR agency and team who live and breathe all things PR, communications, multimedia, events, social media and digital marketing. In her role as Founder and CEO of The Digital Voice‚ she manages an expert team of 26 freelancers who deliver PR, communications, social media, content and events for their 15 long term B2B adtech clients.
Known for her boundless energy, she started her career in digital advertising at Dennis Publishing 27 years ago and she has been at the heart of the changing digital media landscape ever since. She has held major commercial roles both agency and media side including Associated Newspapers, 614 Group, The Mirror Group Newspapers, Dennis Publishing, IAB, Nexus Business Media and UPC Media. She is also a co-founder of numerous industry groups that sit at the beating heart of many of the communities within the digital advertising industry.
Referred to as 'The Voice' (or 'mouth of media'!), she is a regular industry commentator and speaker and was nominated for the Greatest Individual Contribution Award at the New Media Age Awards 2010. In 2016, she was voted top 5 Digital Trading Leaders 2016 at The Drum Digital Trading Awards. Most recently, she was nominated for Global Ad Tech Personality at The Wires 2020 and SheHasNoLimits Community Maker 2020 award.
In 2021, she was awarded IAA 21 women in 2021 plus was included in the 40OverForty list for 2021. To round off 2022, she was shortlisted for The Wires Adtech Personality of the Year.
